Community Stitch Challenge

At the beginning of the lock down TextielArtist.org got in touch to ask me to make an exercise for their community stitch challenge, the idea being, to create a creative focus for people who are isolated and missing their usual textile groups and courses. I thought this was a brilliant idea, and I set to work making a challenge that doesn’t require any special equipment or materials.

Join me at my Kitchen table (via the video below) where I explain the challenge - how to make an appliqué illustration. There is an accompanying workbook that you can download via textileartist.org website here.

There is also a Facebook group where you can get involved and there are more challenges by other artists.

This got me thinking about online learning/teaching and I would really like to know if that might be something you are interested in, perhaps you don't live in the UK or can't easily travel? It would most helpful to hear your thoughts, express an interest in online courses.
